About the Branch

The Isle of Man Branch of CAMRA is an active branch of the Campaign for Real Ale, and are responsible for covering the whole Island.  We are part of the West Pennines region in the UK.

We are a group of volunteers who campaign for the availability of real ale, pubs and consumer rights.  CAMRA was formed in the 70’s in the UK and didn’t take long to reach the Island.

The branch first hosted the CAMRA AGM in 2010, when volunteers from all over the UK came to the Isle of Man.  As part of the AGM, the local volunteers ran the members bar in the Villa Marina, and this formed the impetus to start our own local beer festival, which has gone on from strength to strength, and in 2015 returned to the Villa Marina.
